The aim of this site is to provide information about the Island and its delicate ecological environment.

Lady Musgrave is part of the largest coral reef system in the world and as such belongs to The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

  • Lady Musgrave Island is a coral cay which means it is a low flat 14ha island inside a lagoon and reef system of 1192ha.

  • The island is in the Capricorn group of the southern Barrier Reef located 116 km off the coast from Gladstone and having access from Bundaberg and the Town of 1770.

  • Lady Musgrave lies just south of the Tropic of Capricorn.
